En Vivo Dallas Theatre reviews
Great Concert ... no fish fry
"I expected more value for my tickets after paying $99 for each night (Friday & Saturday) and traveling 300 miles. Carl Black's Chevy amphitheater is a great venue for a concert, only 15 minutes from downtown Nashville. It has a lot of amenities such as a bar/ restaurant, gift shop, front door motorcycle parking, fairgrounds containing a Ferris wheel, food trucks, bonfires. However, they did not keep up with the Porta potty's and the lines were too long.
The fish fry event was a marketing ploy with no fish frying, only food trucks and long lines. Friday night they ran out of food so I didn't get to eat. Saturday night the concert was sold out and the lines were too long, so I didn't get to eat. That was disappointing.
En Vivo and his band rocked the audience with a great mix of songs from different albums, but only one song from his latest album "The Kiss". I was disappointed to travel 300 miles from St. Louis Missouri on a motorcycle to experience the same song set both nights. Not sure I'll go next year, but looking forward to spending New Year's Eve at another Kid Rock concert in St. Louis MO. I have gone to Kid Rock concerts since year 2000: Pine Knob - Clarkston MI (many times with surprise guest Bocephus), Palace of Auburn Hills (many times), Riverport St. Louis MO."
